NOD Salutes Longstanding Partner Coca-Cola for its Commitment to Disability Diversity
June 19, 2013, New York, NY - The National Organization on Disability (NOD) salutes Coca-Cola for its support of veterans and for the company’s commitment to including disability as a diversity segment throughout the organization. This is the third ‘salute’ in a series highlighting employers who support NOD’s mission by hiring people with disabilities and helping to support other employers who seek to do the same.
Coca-Cola is a longstanding partner of NOD, supporting various programs for more than 20 years. In recent years, the company’s efforts have centered on NOD’s innovative Wounded Warrior Careers program, which helps severely injured veterans to move forward on career paths.
EXELON Foundation Supports Employment for People with Disabilities with Three-Year Pledge to NOD
June 12, 2013, New York, NY – The National Organization on Disability (NOD) today announced that the Exelon Foundation, an independent, non-profit philanthropic organization funded by energy company Exelon Corporation, has committed $300,000 over three years to support NOD’s disability employment initiatives.

NOD and Sirota Release Results of Landmark Employee Disability Survey
March 14, 2013, New York, NY - NOD and Sirota Consulting today released the results of a landmark five-year survey of nearly 850,000 employees to better understand the voice of employees with disabilities.
The survey finds employees with disabilities are 8% less satisfied than their colleagues without disabilities; NOD shares strategies to help employers create a culture of inclusion.

U.S. Acting Labor Secretary Seth Harris Tells NOD Sequestration Cuts Would Have Devastating Impact
February 27, 2013, Washington, D.C. - Seth Harris, Acting Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor, today told the CEO Council of the National Organization on Disability (NOD) that the federal sequestration cuts looming this week would deal a devastating blow to people with disabilities.
In particular, Acting Secretary Harris noted that the cuts would lead to 75,000 fewer people being served by the federal Vocational Rehabilitation program, which helps people with disabilities find work and live more independently.
