Innovation: Pilot Projects

NOD finds creative approaches to employment issues for people with disabilities. One way we do this is conducting pilot projects to test new approaches for companies seeking to diversify their workforce, career-seekers with disabilities trying to access jobs, and the public and nonprofit agencies helping these jobseekers access the workforce. We then share the findings to promote widespread adoption of effective practices and advance evidence-based public policy. In devising, implementing, and evaluating our projects, NOD works closely with researchers, training and education institutions, employers, policy-makers, and public agencies.

Wounded Warrior Careers Demonstration

Working with the US Army Wounded Warrior Program, NOD helps severely injured veterans to move forward on career paths and documents the approaches that work.
