Daniel Golden is the Marketing and Communications Manager at the National Organization on Disability (NOD), where he serves as a brand manager, leading creative direction, social media, and digital advertising to advance disability inclusion in the workplace.
Daniel self-identifies as LGBTQ and as a person with a disability–he wears hearing aids–and brings this lived experience into his work to champion authentic and intersectional representation. In 2021 he penned an op-ed in AdWeek: “Inspiration Porn at the Super Bowl,” a widely shared critique of disability tropes in advertising.
Before his professional career in marketing, Daniel held a variety of jobs across industries—from valet parking and baking to selling windows door-to-door—offering him a grounded perspective and strong work ethic. He holds a B.S. in Communications with a concentration in Creative Advertising from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Based in New York City, Daniel is an avid runner, baker, and serial home redecorator. On weekends, you can find him running along the Hudson River or on the field with his LGBTQ+ kickball team. He lives with his beloved tortoiseshell cat, Kylie.
