National Organization on Disability’s Beth Sirull to Spotlight the Power of Disability Data at Valuable 500’s SYNC25 Accountability Summit in Tokyo

Washington, DC (November 19, 2025) – The National Organization on Disability (NOD), a leading nonprofit helping America’s top employers advance disability inclusion, announced today that President & CEO Beth Sirull will deliver key insights on disability data and its business impact during Valuable 500’s SYNC25 Accountability Summit in Tokyo this December.

During a session titled Measuring What Matters: Turning Disability Data into Action, Sirull, alongside Hiren Shukla, Neurodiversity & Inclusive Value Leader at EY Global, will explore one of the biggest challenges in disability inclusion today: the gap between collecting disability data and using it to drive meaningful organizational change.

The discussion will examine:

  • Data collected between 2021 and 2024 from 257 companies, three-quarters of which have more than 5,000 employees and operate in multiple countries. The data looks at the impacts of nearly 50 disability inclusion practices.
  • How disability inclusion strategies impact the bottom line by reducing costly turnover among employees with disabilities and across the entire workforce.
  • What specific actions companies can take to improve disability inclusion and benefit the overall business. The discussion will look at disability inclusion across disabilities and will provide additional detail on neurodiversity inclusion.

NOD’s participation highlights its commitment to helping companies nationally understand and close the disability inclusion gap through actionable strategies that transform workplace culture from high-quality data.

SYNC25 is the world’s first global accountability summit dedicated to ending disability exclusion. Taking place December 3–4 at the Fairmont Tokyo and co-hosted with Nikkei and The Nippon Foundation, the event marks the start of a decade focused on holding organizations responsible for progress and catalyzing systems-level change for the 1.3 billion people with disabilities worldwide.
