A man in a wheelchair wearing a burgundy polo shirt sits at a modern white desk with a woman in a black and white striped blouse, both smiling as they work together on a laptop. The man has his hand thoughtfully positioned near his chin while looking at the screen. The contemporary office space features large windows, wooden accents, and blue chairs in the background. A white coffee cup, notebooks, and a smartphone are visible on the desk, creating a collaborative and accessible workplace environment.

The Employee Engagement Assessment is a new tool for employers to maximize the impact of the disability inclusion efforts–at no cost.

Developed in partnership with Rutgers University’s Employer Disability Practices Center, this tool is designed to be taken anonymously by your employees, giving you valuable insights into the parts of your inclusion agenda that are working–and the parts that aren’t.

Employee Engagement Assessment FAQ

What makes the NOD Employee Engagement Assessment different from others?

Our tool uniquely assesses how disability practices affect your entire workforce, providing deep insight into culture, satisfaction, and retention.

The assessment is administered by NOD in partnership with ResultsLab, as part of a federally funded research initiative.

U.S.-based companies with at least 250 employees are eligible. Enrollment is limited, and only 30 companies will be selected to participate.

Participating employers will receive all materials, including the assessment questions and our Implementation Guide upon onboarding.

Yes. The assessment is free for participating employers, and is funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR).

The assessment takes an employee approximately 15 minutes to complete and includes 65 total questions.

Participation must be confirmed by November 21, 2025. The assessment (with a recommended 3-week window) must be completed by December 19, 2025.

Employees will receive a universal assessment link and can complete the assessment anonymously via desktop, tablet, or mobile device.

At least 100 responses are strongly recommended to receive valid insight. Most organizations should aim to survey 1,000 employees or 5% of their workforce, whichever is greater, for valid analysis.
