Current Legislative Priorities

Fighting for Disability Employment

Explore how we work with policymakers on initiatives that drive economic advancement for people with disabilities.

The American flag flies prominently in front of a neoclassical government building featuring white columns, ornate Corinthian capitals, and decorative balustrades. Green foliage frames the bottom and right side of the image, with the building's curved colonnade and detailed stonework visible in the background under a partly cloudy sky.

Our key priorities include ending subminimum wage, expanding Medicaid Buy-In programs, and incentivizing hiring people with disabilities nationwide.

NOD’s Disability Policy Roundtable gathers the largest disability advocacy organizations in the country. Together, we engage members of Congress, Senators and the Executive Branch to champion key disability priorities and organize briefings, particularly focusing on policies that enhance employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
