Felicia Nurmsen is a corporate and nonprofit executive with a career dedicated to workforce development, advancing disability inclusion, and mental health in the workplace. She has more than 20 years of experience leading national employer engagements and advisory services and developing strategic partnerships to help organizations recognize the business benefits of an inclusive workplace.

As the National Organization on Disability’s (NOD) Chief Content & Development Officer, Felicia is a key advisor to the president and CEO, leading the development and delivery of high-impact initiatives, producing measurable improvements in disability inclusion practices and employee outcomes. She directs NOD’s development strategy, building strong partnerships with corporate leaders and philanthropic funders to expand the organization’s national reach and impact. Felicia also oversees workforce solutions and consulting services, and she has led the transformation of NOD’s Disability Inclusion Blueprint into a robust workforce analytics platform, equipping companies with actionable insights to benchmark progress and drive data-informed inclusion strategies. 

Felicia is a trusted advisor to business leaders who view workforce inclusion as a business imperative and has spoken at national and international conferences on creating accessible, stigma-free workplaces where all employees can thrive. Her work has helped thousands of people with disabilities access meaningful employment while equipping companies with the tools to build diverse, inclusive cultures that drive performance.

Felicia has served on national advisory boards including the National Association of Colleges and Employers Disability Employment Task Force, US Center for Advanced Manufacturing and the American Heart Association. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the Massachusetts Governor’s Exemplary Employer Award and the American Legion National Economic Development Commission Veteran Employer of the Year.

Before joining NOD, Felicia founded Inclusive Workforce Strategies, LLC, where she advised corporations and public sector organizations on integrating disability inclusion into broader workforce strategies. Earlier in her career, Felicia led ManpowerGroup’s national disability employment strategy as Government Solutions Executive & National Access2Ability Leader, scaling the initiative across all business lines and helping enterprise clients to embed inclusion into their operating models as a driver of talent, culture, and business success.
