Amber Cecil brings nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, with deep expertise in communications, marketing, and brand development. She joined the National Organization on Disability (NOD) in 2012 and became Director of Marketing & Communications in 2024.
Before her time at NOD, Amber built her career in Detroit, Chicago, and New York City, holding key roles at Kresge Arts in Detroit, a joint initiative of the Kresge Foundation and the College for Creative Studies (CCS), and the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MoCAD), in addition to serving independent clients.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and has pursued additional coursework in marketing and digital design at Pratt Institute and Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY).
Amber currently lives in a 110-year-old historic home in Detroit with her darling cat, Luna.
