New York, NY (October, 15, 2024) – The National Organization on Disability (NOD) and Integrate Autism Employment Advisors (Integrate) today announced a formal partnership. This synergy marks a significant step toward expanding efforts in creating a more inclusive and equitable workforce for individuals with disabilities.

The country’s first organization to advocate for all Americans with disabilities, NOD is dedicated to expanding equitable career opportunities for every individual regardless of physical, mental, cognitive or any other disability.  Through a suite of talent management services, NOD works with employers to build disability-inclusive workplaces.  NOD will offer its corporate partners access to Integrate’s premier services focused on creating a neuroinclusive workplace including organizational assessments, training and education around neurodivergence, recruiting and onboarding support.  NOD will also feature Integrate in its educational programming on neurodiversity in the workplace.

Beth Sirull, president and CEO of NOD, commented, “NOD is committed to demonstrating to companies that the ‘right thing’ and the ‘profitable thing’ are the same thing when it comes to employing people with disabilities. Research suggests that companies that prioritize inclusion, particularly disability and neuroinclusion, attract more customers and talent and enjoy higher customer loyalty and market share. Integrate’s work enables companies to benefit from the creativity that neurodivergent talent brings to the business world, while also providing employment for a group of people who are chronically under-employed.”

Marcia Scheiner, president of Integrate, added, “People with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, processing disorders, and other learning differences have much to offer business, yet they are persistently under-employed. Integrate is committed to changing that and our partnership with NOD enables us to reach more companies and share our expertise more broadly for greater impact.”
